We are proud to receive the prestigious ‘Baanbrekende Werkgever’ label for the third consecutive year. This certification, awarded by Antwerp Management School, highlights our commitment to sustainable mobility and a people-centered HR policy.
As a Baanbrekende Werkgever, we continue to invest in a forward-thinking work and mobility policy, with a focus on people. Our three-year journey shows how we have grown step by step in this area:
A Sustainable Three-Year Journey
Year 1: Green mobility
In our first year, we focused on making our mobility solutions more sustainable. We encouraged using (e-)bikes, shared vehicles, and public transport. We transitioned to environmentally-friendly alternatives such as electric vehicles for employees who still opted for a car. Our goal? To have 98% of our fleet emission-free by 2025.
Year 2: Wellbeing policy
In the second year, the focus shifted to the wellbeing of our employees. We developed initiatives to strengthen team cohesion and created an environment where employees feel heard and supported. Healthy and happy teams are, after all, the key to success.
Year 3: Talent development
This year, we focused on establishing a sustainable career policy. This includes:
- Encouraging the professional growth of our employees.
- Offering transparency about learning and growth opportunities within our organization.
- Promoting and utilizing each individual's unique talents.
We believe that investing in talent development helps employees grow and makes our organization stronger and more future-proof.
The Champion Sessions, which were part of the Baanbrekende Werkgever program, was an incredibly valuable experience. They allowed us to get inspiration from companies like DPG Media and Aquafin. During these interactive sessions, HR professionals shared valuable insights and ideas, which was truly inspiring.

Looking to the future
With the ‘Baanbrekende Werkgever 2025’ recognition, we are taking another important step on our journey towards sustainability. We see it as our responsibility to contribute not only to a more sustainable planet but also to a promising future.

Participating in the Baanbrekende Werkgever program gave us the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with other organizations integrating sustainability into their HR policies. This allowed us to better understand our challenges and take concrete steps towards future-oriented talent development.
— Tamara Smets, Talent & Development Specialist at ACA Group
We will continue to build a work culture where mobility, wellbeing, and talent development align seamlessly with our core values. Earning this certification is a recognition of the collective efforts of our teams.

Once again, we can officially call ourselves a Great Place to Work by achieving the label! This certificate is only awarded to companies in which team members indicate in an official survey that they love working for their company, trust each other and take pride in their job. ACA Group: awarded again as a Great Place To Work! We are proud to announce that ACA Group has earned the coveted "Great Place to Work" label for the 2nd time in a row. This prestigious recognition is a testament to our exceptional work culture and the dedication of every team member. This certificate is awarded on the basis of an internal survey and audit by the Great Place to Work Institute Belgium (an authority in the field of trusted and high-performing work cultures), together with Vlerick Business School . Unique to this research is that the evaluation by employees takes precedence. The final score is determined by the survey results of the company's own employees. The next step is to find out whether the ACA Group has also been nominated as a “ Best Workplace ”, the next phase in the certification process. Thank you to all of our team members for trusting our organization and for giving your best every day and for each other. We are immensely proud of where we are today as a team! What is the Great Place to Work® Belgium label? Great workplaces are about more than benefits or facilities. In Great Place to Work's vision, great employment is about three interrelationships based on trust, pride and pleasure. Recognition is based on both the perspective of employees and how great workplaces are used within the organization. This unique combination and the strict criteria mean that not every organization achieves the certificate and it is an achievement to be proud of. Label attainment is calculated using The Trust Index© of Vlerick Business School .

This week, we organized our first internal meeting of 2023 in our Hasselt office. Every quarter we organise an internal meeting in one of our ACA offices and digitally. The agenda consists of internal company updates and topics, internal or external speakers or inspiration sessions. And of course lots of food and drinks will be provided! The internal meeting traditionally follows an event format and discusses projects, bigger / longer topics. It is the perfect opportunity to come together and talk to colleagues from the other offices or who mostly work at the client’s office. We started off the internal meeting with a kick off 2023 from our CEO Ronny Ruyters and CTO Stijn Van den Enden. During their kick off, Ronny and Stijn announced important company updates and our goals for 2023. Other company updates were also shared by some team members. After, it was time for knowledge sharing - in the form of break-out sessions - by some of our own employees. During these break-out sessions, our team members shared their knowledge about a specific topic, tool, expertise domain, … by giving a presentation and Q A session. Knowledge sharing = caring. ;-) Tom De Wolf gave a brief introduction to Data Mesh and which solutions it can offer. Stijn Vandereyken gave us more insights into a modern data platform. Jelle Cayman told us how his team transformed the traditional red alert button in hospital rooms to meet the modern needs of both patients and healthcare staff. And last but not least, Peter Jans shared his knowledge about building and running high availability apps in the cloud. After the interesting break-out sessions, there was lots of food and plenty of time to talk with the team members! It was a great evening and we’re looking forward to an awesome 2023 together!
