Powering smart service stations with a scalable cloud-native IoT platform

C-all, a cloud-native IoT platform in the smart infrastructure sector, evolved from a simple monitoring tool to manage thousands of unmanned service stations across Europe. The challenge was to capture and process large volumes of real-time sensor data. In collaboration with AAtechniss, a scalable IoT solution was developed. This resulted in actionable data insights, improved predictive maintenance, and more efficient infrastructure management.

About C-all

C-all is a cloud-native IoT platform developed with AAtechnics to manage thousands of unmanned service stations across Europe. By capturing and processing real-time data from connected devices, it transforms raw sensor input into actionable insights. From predictive maintenance to smart infrastructure, C-all helps service station operators improve efficiency, reduce costs, and create safer, more sustainable facilities.
Challenge

Designing for scale in a fast-growing IoT environment

As C-all expanded from a basic app to a full-scale IoT solution for service station management. The core challenge was: how to build an infrastructure that could scale from 10 to 10 000+ devices without constant reengineering. The platform needed to handle millions of real-time data signals every month and without breaking the bank. Ensuring resilience, scalability and cost control was essential, especially as new features were continuously added and deployments accelerated.

Solution

A resilient, cloud-native architecture on Google Cloud

We designed and implemented a scalable cloud architecture that supports fast growth, high availability and advanced data processing.

The solution includes:

  • A scalable data ingestion pipeline built using Kubernetes clusters, serverless functions, and a mix of cloud-native databases for flexibility and speed.

  • Real-time anomaly detection that raises automated alerts, allowing service station operators to react instantly.

  • Custom AI pipelines for predictive maintenance, detecting issues before they impact operations.

  • A custom-built web interface that provides a full, up-to-date view of every connected service station.

Every component was built to scale, self-heal and stay cost-efficient.
Result

Smarter maintenance, happier customers and a lighter footprint

With the new cloud-native infrastructure in place, C-all now can:

  • Process over 1 billion data points from 4,000+ connected devices

  • Handle real-time monitoring and alerting across hundreds of service stations

  • Enable predictive repairs, reducing technician response times and improving customer experience

  • Support rapid expansion without rework, ready for thousands more stations across Europe

  • Reduce the ecological footprint of service stations by addressing issues before they escalate

C-all has created enormous value for its customers, and the cloud infrastructure proved to be a stable and solid base for further development.
